Since I’m 31, I’m going to list 31 pieces of advice. Advice for others, advice for myself, advice I’ve gotten in the past.  It doesn’t matter what the advice is, as long as it brings a little “Age of Wisdom.”

  1. Don’t sweat the petty stuff.
  2. Even though the milk says it doesn’t expire for 3 more days, don’t trust it.
  3. Sometimes people are mean to you because they don’t like themselves
  4. Eating an entire bag of chips is NEVER a good idea. STOP DOING IT!
  5. Keep your stick on the ice.
  6. Always remember your own name.
  7. Don’t drop your keys down an elevator shaft.
  8. Don’t pet the sweaty stuff.
  9. Google is your friend.
  10. Know the difference between “your” and “you’re”.
  11. Just keep swimming.
  12. When you trip falling up the stairs, make sure you take the escalator on the way back down.
  13. Once every 10 years is far too long to wait for a vacation.
  14. Sometimes you need to take a break.
  15. Your calculator is your friend.
  16. Don’t go shopping when your hungry.
  17. Despite your best efforts, others may fail.
  18. Left foot, left shoe.  And vice versa.
  19. You need to get out sometimes. You can’t stay inside all day long.
  20. When I tell you that you’ll have to practice a lot for the AP tests, you better believe me.
  21. Just because it’s free, doesn’t mean it’s worth it.
  22. Remember where the edge of the table is so you can stop having bruises.
  23. Don’t be such a dork.
  24. Sometimes you just need to cry it out.
  25. Wear sunscreen.
  26. Always remember if you placed something on the floor just before you sleep, so you don’t step on it or knock it over when you wake up.
  27. Keep your eyes on the prize.
  28. You should not eat fast food that often.
  29. Do as I say, not as I did.
  30. Chips are not dinner.
  31. Love.

Who knows… maybe this will turn into a meme if enough other people do it as well!
